TERMS OF DOMAIN RATING (DR) ON AHREFS

Bloggers, maybe you are already quite familiar with the Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) that are initiated by Moz. But, do you know that Ahrefs has a similar metric, "Domain Rating (DR)"?

DOMAIN RATING

As long as it is identified, it turns out that DA / PA actually has a different calculation function, you know! So, what is it like, anyway, that DR? Come on, we know more deeply about the two metrics this will be the following review!

Domain Rating (DR)

DR is a metric that was developed by Ahrefs to show how strong a site's backlink profile is. Like DA, DR also uses a logarithmic scale ranging from 1 to 100. The higher the number, the DR that is owned by a site is getting stronger.

With such metric functions, DR can be a metric that you can use to determine which sites you need to do link building. Of course, in order for your site's DR to increase, you need to work on it to get a backlink from your higher DR site.

While displaying numbers that show the strength of profile backlinks from sites that are rated, DR will also display gaps that are owned by related sites with other sites. So, we can do a comparison between the sites that you have with other sites using this metric easily.

But here, you might have been wondering about the mechanism for calculating the value of the DR. Simply put, calculating the DR value usually involves the following processes:

The metrics will see how many unique domains that provide DoFollow links to sites that will be assessed. This is if you get a dofollow link> 1 from a domain, then the number of domains that counts is only 1 (not following the number of links that you have from the domain);

The metrics will examine the value of the DR from each unique domain that provides a DoFollow link on your site;

The metric will also consider the number of unique domains that are owned by all the sites that were recorded in the first process;

The metrics will process the information obtained from processes 1-3 using special calculations to calculate the raw DR value;

The metrics will determine the results of the processed information obtained on a scale of 1-00 based on logarithmic calculations.

From the process of calculating the DR value above, you know that your DR value is affected by the DR values of other websites. Therefore, do not be surprised if at any time you find the DR value of your site is fluctuating,

because if your domains that are connected with your site experience a significant change in the value of the DR, this will also affect your DR value.

Well, you need to underline here the fact that the DR is a metric that shows the popularity of the link that is owned by all your sites compared to other sites.

So, when your DR value suddenly drops, this does not seem to be that your site has been able to continue to absorb as much traffic as can be obtained when the DR value is too high.

In other words, the DR value itself is not related to the keyword you are using on your site.

The DR value also does not indicate your site's ranking on the SERP to be used as a benchmark so that it can get higher traffic, so at least it has nothing to do with the authority score, because the DR assessment itself does not involve these components.
